New at MFUNE: KIRIN ICHIBAN – Malt Beer
Besides our ASAHI Japanese Beer, we do have added a fine Malt Beer from Japan for our guests in Dumaguete!

Brewing beer is communicating with nature! It demands respect for nature and so respect for the art of brewing beer. Even more: with all the technology the world has to offer, without the artistic touch, it would be impossible to make a KIRIN ICHIBAN.
Malt is dictating a beer’s flavor – so we go to great lengths to choose only the best…After we’ve examined the malt thoroughly, we draft a shortlist of the best, and therefore our experts make their final selections using their expertise, knowledge, and intuition. In our almost endless quest to find the best, we’ve even developed new strains of malt for even a better flavor. This essence goes into the whole process of brewing our KIRIN ICHIBAN, giving it unmatched quality and flavor.
The Japan Brewery Company is the forerunner to KIRIN, which was established in 1885, and in the year 1888, they began brewing the KIRIN beer. The market welcomed KIRIN warmhearted, recognizing the beer’s authentic of German brewmasters who used only German ingredients. In 1907, Japan Brewery Company changed its name new into KIRIN Brewery and of corse continuing its high standards in securing the best malt and hops and was investing in facilities.
